Personal Health Cloud Goes Live!

Emotions can run the gamut with a new website launch, before, during, and after.

The odyssey of just getting to this point is a classic start-up saga. In fact, I've been calling this a "stop-and-start-up" due to all the challenges. That's a story for another time.

There are those who will say that's SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) especially for a "non-technical" founder working to get his/her baby off the ground.  So, I guess we can claim a certain level of success having gotten this far. As it is, we are still seeking a UI/UX designer/developer to replace the one who took a full-time paying job and found that it didn't leave the time he thought he'd have to continue as a team member.

Regardless...!

We are thrilled to be able to announce that Personal Health Cloud officially went live this past Friday.  Please visit. Please subscribe for the updates. Please apply to be a Beta user and complete the quick 9-question survey.

Please comment here or email me directly with your thoughts and feelings about the state of health care in the US, how it relates, or not, to you as a health consumer. What needs to change? Think outside the box. We all know health care is expensive, insurance is expensive, what you have to go through to get treatment makes you feel like Job's trials were a piece of cake.

We want to know what the words, Personal Health Cloud mean to you. There's already an interesting, short thread on Quora.com - "What is a Personal Health Cloud and how is it different from a Personal Health Record?". Let us know if you agree with what has been said or if you have another take on it. What do you want to see in your Personal Health Cloud?

In the next few days, the URL for this blog will change from www.Caduces.net to one that reflects our new name, Personal Health Cloud.

Embracing the Tiny: Small Finales, Portentous Beginnings

This series by the Communicatrix, Colleen Wainwright is completely special, but I especially appreciated the last installment today, Embracing the tiny, Day 21: Small finales:

As I was reading about how  "my well-meaning, deeply toxic brain started off-gassing “should”s."," I paused. Yes, I do that. I think nearly all of us do that. But, the meditation on endings and beginnings culminating in the realization that "endings only seem big, and also that they only seem like endings."

I weighed relating this to what we go through in creating, building, nurturing, launching a start-up venture. And, then I thought about our daily struggles to truly live a healthier life, celebrating tiny successes, viewing endings as the beginning of a new life. In the end, I had to acknowledge that what Colleen talks about is universal and applicable to every facet of our lives as well as our lives as a whole.

I hope you enjoy her tiny essay and will choose to read more of her Tiny series. You'll be so happy you did!
